Paul Stegall (Ph.D. graduate from ROAR lab in 2016) joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania as a lecturer, guiding student exploration mechanical design, mechatronics, and application of statics, dynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, vibrations and controls. Paul is currently a post-doctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, researching how to apply machine learning to create exoskeletal systems that are able to fluently work with wearers in a wide variety of movements in a diverse set of environments. Paul's interests lie in creating technology to improve the quality of life of people who face daily challenges in interfacing with the world.
