President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel, his wife, and Council of Ministers visited ROAR laboratory on Sept 29, 2018

President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel, his wife, and Council of Ministers visited ROAR laboratory on Sept 29, 2018. The group was interested in knowing more about the different robotics developed at ROAR laboratory. Prof. Agrawal gave a presentation on the different technologies and results of human studies performed with these on patients with impairment. Mr. Diaz-Canel and his Education minister spoke at the end of the presentation on how these robotic technologies can be invaluable to improve the quality of life of people in Cuba. Mr. Diaz-Canel reminisced his research projects as an Electrical engineer in Cuba and autographed a recent book on Rehabilitation Robotics edited by Prof. Agrawal.
