ROAR lab received a 5-year NIH R01 grant to study the efficacy of Trunk Support Trainer (TruST) to improve upper body posture and balance in children with cerebral palsy. This grant will involve a randomized clinical trial with nearly 75 CP children who will undergo training with TruST and with active force field.
This research will be a collaboration of ROAR lab with Prof. Andy Gordon's group in Teacher's College. The research will involve other clinical faculty - Dr. Heakyung Kim in Rehab Medicine, Dr. Dutkowsky in Pediatric Orthopedics, Dr. Maggie O'Neil in Physical Therapy, and Dr. Jason Carmel in the Weinberg CP Center.
