Ph.D. Student
I am a PhD Candidate in Mechanical Engineering Department at Columbia University. I have an active interest in robotic augmentation, mechanical design, biomechatronics and controls. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at M.I.T. My notable works include the design of a passive assistive device for the elderly to assist in mobility overground and over stairs. After my time as an undergraduate, I held positions in industry in vehicle design and in a hardware development incubator with focus on assisting refugees with open source technology. My home country is Jordan.
