Dr. Jiyeon Kang (Ph.D. graduate from ROAR lab in 2018) joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, as an Assistant Professor in Spring 2019. Her research will continue to focus on new roles of mechanical devices to assist or restore functional mobility in lower or upper limbs based. She is currently working with students to design new devices, create novel methods for interventions, develop algorithms to detect the user intention, and understand human motions.
